Devotee falls under Tirupati temple milk van, dies; shrine reopens after purification rituals

Tirupati: In the early hours today (December 13), a devotee fell under a milk van that belonged to the Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam and died. The CCTV camera footage showed that the devotee had committed suicide. The incident occurred at Mada Veedhi near Tirumala temple. Video footage showed the milk van moved after unloading and a man suddenly jumped in front of the van and came under the wheels of the moving van. He died on the spot. Soon after the incident, the darshans were cancelled for some time. The temple was reopened after performing purifying rituals as per the suggestions of  Agama advisor Ramana Deekshitulu.
