Coronavirus: Bengaluru’s student activists pitch in with food and masks for the poor

As the country is witnessing 21-day lockdown, the student community who took part in anti CAA, NPR,NRC protest at Bengaluru’s Bilal Bagh have turned their attention towards serving the poor and the cops with free food and masks. 

 

With 21-day lockdown in place due to novel coronavirus, the life of have-nots has become tough. To ensure they don’t go hungry, the student activists have hit the streets with safety measures to serve food packets and masks. These students, who took part in anti-CAA-NRC-NPR protest at Bengaluru’s Bilal Bagh has shifted their focus. 

The students say that the food packets contain biscuits, cake, ORS sachet and 200ml drinking water. The team of about 16 including few doctors have volunteered for the cause to make a difference during these challenging times.
