BJP MLA brings basket of locusts into Rajasthan Assembly to bug the government

BJP MLA Bihari Lal Nokha arrived at Rajasthan Assembly with a basket of locusts to draw the attention of the government to farmers whose crops have been destroyed. After 26 years, 11 districts of the state are affected by locust attack.


Jaipur: BJP MLA Bihari Lal Nokha on January 24 arrived at Rajasthan Assembly with a basket of locusts. He carried the locusts to draw the government's attention to the farmers whose crops have been destroyed by the locust. It is also reported that 11 districts of the state are facing the worst locust attack after 26 years.

Nokha told media that the government must compensate the farmers whose crops have been destroyed by the locust. He added that over seven lakh hectares of crops had been damaged.
 
He also said that the state government must not to waste time, but help the farmers immediately. They have been affected due to locusts that have emanated from the desert area in Pakistan. I have come here to speak to the government and work out some relief measures.
