Andhra Pradesh minister, MP violate coronavirus lockdown rules

Over hundred people present at the YSRCP office in Visakhapatnam violated the lockdown rules laid down by the Centre to curb the spread of the coronavirus

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh tourism minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao and Visakhapatnam MP MVV Satyanarayana violated social distancing and lockdown norms while observing the one-year completion of YSRCP government in the state. The event was held at the YSRCP office in Visakhapatnam on Monday (June 8). YSRCP MLAs also participated in the celebration. A large number of YSRCP supporters and leaders were seen jostling with each other to sit on chairs. The Centre’s guidelines state that there should be no political or public meetings due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic but YSRCP leaders blatantly violated the rules. Majority of party members were not wearing masks. The minister was garlanded and felicitated during the event.
