The British Royal Navy recently teamed up with Gravity Industries' founder Richard Browning to help him test his Daedalus jetpack over open water for the first time.

A video shared by Royal Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Tony Radakin on Twitter showed a Royal Marine testing a jet suit over water and landed on HMS Tamar off the south coast of the United Kingdom.

The video showed a boarding exercise where a fast-rib boat comes alongside a moving ship and hooks a caving ladder to permit assaulting personnel access. The marines on jet packs were able to access the ship faster than those on the boat.

Gravity Industries claims that its flight suits can reach speeds of around 135 kmph.
