NCC cadets feed the poor in Bengaluru, help those affected by lockdown

NCC cadets distributed food packets to 200 daily wage workers, street vendors and poor in Bengaluru amid coronavirus lockdown

Bengaluru: Karnataka deputy chief minister (DCM) CN Ashwath Narayan flagged off the voluntary service of the senior wing volunteer along with NCC cadets of Karnataka and Goa Directorate against COVID-19 called Ex NCC Yogdan.  

The programme commenced with 200 packets of food being distributed by the volunteers of NCC cadets of senior division. The food packets were distributed to daily wage workers, street vendors and the poor who have been the worst affected since the 21-day nationwide lockdown was imposed. The food distribution programme was conducted under the leadership of air commodore Lalit Kumar Jain, deputy director general, NCC Directorate Karnataka and Goa.
