Coronavirus: Police lathicharge group who gather at mosque to offer prayers and defy lockdown rules
After the lathicharge against Muslim community members for defying lockdown rules and gathering in large numbers to offer prayers at a masjid in Gokak, Dharwad Police did the same at Shar Police Station limits.
Despite the lockdown and prohibitory orders in place, members of the Muslim community gathered to offer prayers at a mosque on Friday. Based on a tipoff, police reached the spot and resorted to lathicharge to disperse the crowd.
The incident was reported from Hubbali- Dharwad district's Shar Police Station limits on Friday.
