CCTV cameras on BMTC buses plying on priority lane to check unruly motorists
Unruly motorists who encroach upon BMTC priority lanes will now get notices from Bengaluru Traffic Police and will also have to pay a penalty for such offences. This comes as a relief to passengers, thanks to BMTC's initiative of installing CCTV's both internal and external on BMTC vehicles to capture number plates of the vehicles which are found in violation of traffic rules.

Watch: Yama - God of Death chases motorists to teach them a lesson
Yamaraj, the God of Death carrying a mace was seen chasing motorists not wearing helmets at Town Hall in Bengaluru. This was a new way of creating awareness among the people about the importance of wearing helmet while riding two-wheeler. The Halasuru police had roped in a man dressed up like Yamaraj to create awareness among motorists asking them to wear helmet while riding. The police said that the message which they wanted to convey to the two-wheeler riders was that if they disobey the traffic rules, Yama will visit their house.
