Helmet rule for pillion riders: Bengalureans don’t care as 13 lakh cases registered
Despite the mandatory helmet rule by the Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) in 2016, the two-wheeler riders seem to have dumped the traffic rule literally. The data from BTP says 13,40,824 pillion riders were caught for not wearing helmet last year

No vehciles on eight Bengaluru roads on December 31
It’s time for the city to revel in the spirit of the New Year. The Bengaluru Traffic Police have chalked out a plan to ensure the safety of motorists and avoid traffic jams on a few prominent roads. In this regard, vehicle movement on eight roads will be suspended from December 31 evening to the early morning of January 1.

Watch: Yama - God of Death chases motorists to teach them a lesson
Yamaraj, the God of Death carrying a mace was seen chasing motorists not wearing helmets at Town Hall in Bengaluru. This was a new way of creating awareness among the people about the importance of wearing helmet while riding two-wheeler. The Halasuru police had roped in a man dressed up like Yamaraj to create awareness among motorists asking them to wear helmet while riding. The police said that the message which they wanted to convey to the two-wheeler riders was that if they disobey the traffic rules, Yama will visit their house. Watch the video to know how Yama scared the motorists. Can Yama at least teach a lesson to motorists?

If you give a lift to a stranger without helmet, you will not be fined!
The Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic, Bengaluru), R Hithendra, has said that if someone is giving a ride to a stranger on a two-wheeler, who does not have a helmet, will not be fined.
