26/11 Mumbai Terror Attacks: Lest We Forget
12 years ago on this day, Pakistan carried out one of the most heinous of terror attacks perpetrated anywhere in the world. The terrorists targeted two luxury hotels, a Jewish centre, a tourist restaurant, and a crowded train station. Three days of carnage killed 166 people, including foreign tourists, and wounded hundreds more.
The epicentre of the assault was the iconic Taj Mahal Palace hotel with its imposing, red-tiled dome overlooking the Gateway of India monument. Thirty-one people died inside the hotel, including staff trying to guide the guests to safety. Visceral images of smoke leaping out of the city landmark have come to define the 60-hour siege.

Bee not afraid: Ariana Grande sings for unity and love in the wake of terror attacks
Nearly two weeks after the deadly suicide bombing at her concert in Manchester, pop star Ariana Grande held a charity show in honour of the victims. The Side to Side singer graced the stage during the One Love Manchester concert on Sunday, despite a terror attack on the streets of London just a day earlier.
Grande was joined by her squad from Hollywood and fans were treated to the vocal stylings of Katy Perry, Coldplay, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus. The troop sang Oasis’s Don’t Look Behind in Anger, the 1990s hit that became the anthem of the Manchester attack. The celebrities present on stage delivered the theme of unity, resilience and strength. Robbie Williams, who was also present at the concert, changed the chorus of 1998 hit, Strong, and sand, “Manchester, we’re strong, we’re stro-ong, we’re stro-o-o-ong.” The show raised almost £2 million which will be donated towards the victims of the Manchester Arena attack.
