The Bombay High Court directive to the Centre and state government came on a petition that sought to ban the promotion of articles like the "Hanuman Chalisa Yantra".

Sachin Tendulkar, along with Mahendra Singh Dhoni, are considered the two gods of cricket. Both men played a pivotal role in leading India to the 2011 ICC World Cup title win, while Dhoni was the captain. Both men are now retired from international cricket.

Here are some commonly followed superstitions that people still believe in. These commonly held superstitions are still prevalent today.
