The country’s very first, sandalwood museum is likely to come up later this month in Mysuru in Karnataka. The museum is likely to be inaugurated after November 25 and will be shifted to the famous Mysuru Palace.

Chief Minister of Karnataka BS Yediyurappa performed puja to Nandi Dwaja at the Mysuru palace at 2:59pm. CM was accompanied by minister ST Somashekar and other dignitaries.

Though several Congress leaders claimed that the meeting is about the allocation of funds for particular constituencies, BJP alleged that the meeting is about showcasing Congress's superiority over the JD(S) to once again let Siddaramaiah become Karnataka’s chief minister.

BBMP corporators and Gram panchayat members threatened to resign from their post after their patron and tree-time MLA ST Somashekar was denied Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) chairmanship. 20 days ago, the Congress allegedly released a list in which ST Somashekhar's name was mentioned as a prospective head of the BDA. Sources say the MLA is upset over this development and suspects that the JD(S) is behind the denial of the post.
