After imposing penalties, BBMP to turn black spots in Bengaluru into eye candy
Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike identified a few black spots in the Shanthinagar and Ejipura area and planted tree saplings to get rid of the vile image it projected. This beautification process will be continuous as per the special commissioner of the BBMP, who said marshals and officials will be watching out for people dirtying the place and will impose a penalty.

Bengaluru municipality focuses on garbage nine months ahead of election
Three days after imposing a penalty on owners of two big apartment complexes, Raheja Pebble Bay and Sterling, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has said that it will deploy solid waste management officers and BBMP marshals to collect details on apartments that are failing to comply with waste management rules and impose the heavy penalty. Is this a publicity gimmick before election?

Whose responsibility is it? Bengaluru Metro medians, pillars become favourite dumping grounds
It is always BBMP who is blamed for the issue of solid waste management, but there are other stakeholders like BMRCL who are supposed to be responsible. The medians and pillars of Namma Metro which is a source for revenue through advertisements could do with a makeover as these places are now dumping points for garbage such as unwanted household items, construction debris, etc
