Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa is scheduled to visit New Delhi on Wednesday. The CM will be spending the day meeting the central leadership of BJP.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa had said last week that a cabinet expansion would occur after the results of the RR Nagar and Shira bypolls are announced. As the BJP won in both the constituencies, several BJP leaders, formerly with the Congress and JD(S), have begun lobbying for ministerial berths.

Munirathna stated that he would serve the RR Nagar constituency with all his efforts as long as he is in power. The politician leads the RR Nagar bypolls with 1,03,139 votes in the 20th round of counting.

With ten rounds of counting being completed, BJP candidate Munirathna is currently leading the RR Nagar bypolls with 55,103 votes.

In the fourth round of counting at Shira assembly constituency in Tumakuru at 10 am BJP candidate Rajesh Gowda leading with 8,919 votes, while Congress candidate Jayachandra has garnered 7577 votes. JD(S)’s Ammajamma has received 4842 votes so far.

With three rounds of counting being completed, BJP candidate Munirathna is currently leading the RR Nagar bypolls with 16,575 votes.

As the counting for the assembly seats in Karnataka has begun, BJP candidates N Munirathna and Rajesh Gowda are leading respectively in RR Nagar and Shira assembly seats.

As two constituencies in Karnataka are going for bypolls Sandalwood actors and others from the industry were seen casting their votes. The bypolls at Rajarajeshwari Nagar (RR Nagar) in Bengaluru and Shira in Tumkur have witnessed a voter turnout out of 32.16% till 1pm.

The bypolls at Rajarajeshwari Nagar in Bengaluru and Shira in Tumkur witnessed a voter turnout out of 14.44% and 23.63% till 12pm. The overall vote turnout in the state stands at 17.36%.

BBMP to enhance COVID-19 testing after voting ends on Tuesday in RR Nagar. Voting percentage in RR Nagar stands at 7.1% until 9am.

The byelection to two assembly constituencies in Karnataka, namely Rajarajeshwari Nagar (RR Nagar) in Bengaluru and Shira in Tumakuru, is underway. Voting will continue till 6pm at 678 polling stations in RR Nagar and 330 others in Sira on Tuesday.

The Karnataka government has declared a holiday to all government offices, schools, and colleges on November 3 Tuesday in view of the bypolls to the Shira and RR Nagar Assembly constituencies. The holiday will be applicable only in the constituencies going for bypolls.

The campaigning for the November 3 bypolls to two assembly seats in Karnataka ended on Sunday. Meanwhile, BBMP is tightening the security in the city and has deployed several officers and security forces for RR Nagar constituency.
