A court in Bengaluru last Friday allowed an application by the Anti Extortion Cell of the Mumbai Police Crime Branch, seeking to bring the gangster to the city. The court allowed the Crime Branch to take him to Mumbai for 10 days any time before December 10 in connection with a case of conspiracy to allegedly kill MNS leader Raju Patil in 2015.

Accused in the murder of actor and rowdy sheeter Surendra Bantwal’s murder case, three of them were produced in court on Thursday, October 29. The accused were later taken into police custody by Bantwal SI TD Nagaraj.

The murder case of actor and rowdy sheeter Surendra Bantwal has got a new dimension with the allegations made by his mother. Radha, Surendra’s mother has claimed that Surendra was killed to lay hands on one crore rupees cash and gold ornaments he had with him.

Policemen in Bantwal fired at the fleeing accused in rowdy sheeter Farooq’s murder case and succeeded in arresting one among them. Two others however escaped.

Rowdy sheeter Umar Farooq was hacked to death by a gang in Melkar with machetes on Friday. The murder has been reported just a couple of days after the murder of actor Surendra Bantwal.

A rowdy-sheeter was allegedly stabbed by his wife and brother in law. The victim is identified as 34-year-old Edwin Alexander from LR Nagar slum in Audogudi Police limits. According to sources, Edwin had recently turned over a new leaf and began work in a private firm in Chennai. A few days ago, he arrived in Bengaluru to visit his wife. He was trying to force her to move to Chennai with him. An altercation between his wife and his brother-in-law broke out which eventually led to his murder.

A few hooligans, who were identified as rowdy sheeters, tried spreading terror among people in Andiyar Palayam area of Pondicherry, by throwing bombs. No casualities have been reported and Theerubuvanai police have lodged a complaint against the culprits. Further details are awaited as the investigation is underway.
