Phone Tapping  

The ministry of home affairs has sought a report from the chief secretary of Rajasthan over the phone-tapping issue in the state

While the CBI is carrying raids at the residence and office of former police commissioner of Bengaluru, Alok Kumar, BJP media panellist Vivek Subba Reddy said that the BJP was not involved in the case and said that those who are guilty have to be held accountable.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken up the investigation into the alleged phone tapping of politicians in Karnataka during the Congress-JD(S) government.The Karnataka government had requested the CBI to take over the probe in the case from the cyber crime wing of Bengaluru Police, they said.

The Congress-JD(S) coalition had been accused of “phone tapping” to spy on over 300 leaders. The matter had snowballed to such an extent that Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa said that he would look into it.
