Mamata Banerjee blames railway for Majherhat bridge construction delay
Bharatiya Janata Party workers on Thursday (November 26) clashed with the police after they were stopped short of the under-construction Majerhat Bridge in the southwestern part of Kolkata. West Bengal Chief Minster Mamata Banerjee has blamed the Railways for slowing down the reconstruction of the Majerhat Bridge and alleged that the department had delayed the clearance for nine months.

West Bengal: BJP leader Manish Shukla shot dead; party calls for 12-hour bandh in Barrackpore

Manish Shukla was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata in critical condition. Later, doctors declared him dead.
