Ola Uber Drivers  

More than 5000 taxi drivers gathered at the Freedom Park and due to the restricted permission granted by the city police 15 of the protesters stayed overnight at the Freedom Park of Bengaluru. 

The drivers of Ola and Uber cars in Bengaluru are going on a hunger strike from Wednesday at the Freedom Park in City. There will be no taxi service, said one of the Association leaders.

The union had actually submitted a petition to the state government with their demands on it, which seemed to baseless.

The transport minister met the cab aggregators on Wednesday. Reddy stated that he has asked the transport commissioner and the additional commissioner to look into the matter immediately. Currently, the state transport minister is awaiting reports from the two.

Ola promises to pay an incentive of ₹ 6,300 at the end of the day if a driver manages to get a business worth ₹2,300. The driver has to complete 18 trips per day in that case. However, the traffic in Bengaluru somehow allows them to complete five trips per day.

The cab drivers will stage a protest on New Year's Eve against the flat rates.
