This is the third expansion of the cabinet since Yediyurappa assumed charge in July 2019 after the collapse of the Congress-JD(S) government in the wake of revolt by 17 MLAs of the coalition partners.

"New ministers will take oath at the Raj Bhavan at around 3.50 pm Wednesday, the list of seven or eight ministers who will be inducted will be released in due course," CM told reporters in Bengaluru.

"We have finalised seven names. January 14 is the festival. Most probably the oath-taking ceremony will take place on January 13 afternoon. I will confirm the names and portfolios later," the Chief Minister told reporters.

Tulsiram Silawat and Govind Rajput were administered the oath of office by Governor Anandiben Patel.
