Noise Pollution  

The green crackers developed by the Indian Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) include flower pots, pencils, sparkles, and chakkar. No doubt that green crackers are environment-friendly and are developed to reduce air pollution that causes health hazards.

Karnataka high court bench headed by Chief Justice Abhay Shreeniwas Oka observed that a citizen should be able to register a complaint regarding noise pollution with their identity protected and it has observed that the authorities need to set up a mechanism for this 

The Karnataka high court had directed Bengaluru City Police to submit a status report on the noise level at pubs and liquor stores in Indiranagar. The court bench observed that the report submitted by the police was a general statement and lacked details.
 

The Karnataka high court received information that no action has been taken regarding the issue of noisy pubs in Indiranagar after repeated submission of complaints and petitions since 2015. This is when a division bench headed by chief justice Abhay Shreenivas Oka asked for a response from Bengaluru Police questioning the initiative from their end towards the complaints.
 

With the expected increase in traffic, air and noise pollution, instances of drinking and driving, illegal activities and issues with mob control at Nandi Hills, the Chikkaballapura district administration has banned public entry. The entry for public is restricted from 4 pm December 31, 2018 to 8am January 1, 2019
