The University of Mysore on Friday has said it will confer an honorary doctorate on Infosys Foundation chairperson and author Sudha Murthy during its centenary convocation.

Infosys co-founder Narayan Murthy's family is known for donating at times of crisis and is yet again donating Rs 10 crore to the Akshaya Patra Foundation. The foundation has been serving cooked food and distributing essential groceries to migrant labourers and daily-wage earners, who have lost their livelihood in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent nationwide lockdown.

A Ph.D. in computer science from Harvard University, Rohan Murty is also interested in philosophy, history, and the classics.
