Vijayadashami celebrations started with grandeur in Mysuru. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah gave floral tributes to the Nandi Flag. Following this, a grand procession started with tableaux from various districts of Karnataka. As part of the procession, dance troupes, folk artistes entertained 10,000 people inside the Mysuru Palace. But the greatest attraction during this festival is the Jamboo Savari, where trained elephants make their way into the procession on a grand walk. An elephant named Arjuna will carry the Golden Howdah with an idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari in it. See the grandeur of Mysuru Dasara in these pictures.
