Mate Mahadevi breathes her last: Life of first Lingayat woman Jagadguru in pictures
First woman Jagadguru of the Linagayats, Mate Mahadevi breathed her last at Bengaluru’s Manipal Hospital on Thursday (March 14). She was 74 and was suffering from lung infection. Mate Mahadevi was also under dialysis since one year. She was given Deeksha by Swami Lingananda in 1966, when Mahadevi was 20 years old.
