The Centre has proposed the amending of the Motor Vehicles Rules 1989 to make front passenger airbag mandatory for vehicles manufactured after April 2021 in case of new models and June 2021 in case of existing vehicle models.

West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee said on Wednesday (December 23) that the secondary and higher secondary examinations will be held in June 2021.

The approval for late-stage clinical trial puts the Hyderabad-based firm behind the Serum Institute of India (SII), which is in the process of recruiting and vaccinating participants for the third phase of the clinical trial of its candidate, Covishield.

"Employees who work in a role that can effectively be done from home are welcome to do so until June 30, 2021", an Amazon spokeswoman said in an emailed statement on Tuesday, adding the guidance is applicable globally.
 

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee also said her government will provide free ration to beneficiaries till June 2021.
