Encounter with nature: Indian Python crushes goat before swallowing it
Uttara Kannada: A not-so-common sight was captured on a phone in Karnataka when a giant python coiled around a goat and swallowed its prey. The incident was reported from Mundgod Attiveri Forest Range earlier today.
Goat farmer Jeelani Davalasab Angadi took his herd of 40 goats to graze. A little while later, he noticed that one of his goats was no longer standing up, a close look gave him a shock when he spotted a python coiled around the animal to crush it before swallowing it. Forest officials were informed, and they rushed to the spot to ensure no further untoward incident took place. The incident that was captured on camera has now gone viral.
