IT department seizes Rs 32.6 cr, gold in search ops against Tamil Nadu based company
The Income Tax (IT) department seized unaccounted cash worth Rs 32.6 crore and close to 10kg of gold in 20 premises of a company. Through the raids the IT department found that the undisclosed income of the company and its promoters is estimated at about Rs 435 crore.

Documents, records on Nirav Modi safe, not destroyed in fire, clarifies IT Department
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has issued a clarification reacting to media reports that documents of investigation on defaulters, Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi have been gutted in a fire in the IT department office. The clarification states that the papers of both the defaulters were shifted before the office was gutted.

Karnataka Elections 2018: Congress MLA Shivanna's residence allegedly raided by IT department
Income Tax officials allegedly raided the residence of Anekal MLA Shivanna. Supporters of the MLA gathered in front of his house and started shouting slogans against BJP President Amit Shah and Anekal's BJP candidate A Narayana. Supporters allege that the raid is a part of a bigger conspiracy of BJP against the MLA. Income Tax department has however not confirmed any details in the case.
