Ipl Performance Analysis  

Delhi Capitals came up with their best-ever season performance since they have finished as the runners-up of the tournament for the first time. They had previously concluded second in the points table, next to table-toppers and eventual champions Mumbai Indians.

Kolkata Knight Riders managed to finish in the fifth spot, as they won and lost seven each from 14. They are the former two-time champions of the tournament, while their last win came in 2014. All of their title wins have come under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir.

Kings XI Punjab had a moderate season, as they managed to win six matches, besides losing eight, while they could manage to finish in the sixth spot. Being led by KL Rahul, this was his first stint as a captain in the Indian Premier League. They are yet to win the title to date.
