Government Doctors  

Plasma therapy has been started for veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee who is currently in intensive care from complications due to Covid-19. Top government doctors were deputed by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the plasma therapy procedure for Soumitra Chatterjee.

A team of five doctors of a government-run hospital in West Bengal's Birbhum district has been accused of dumping the PPEs in the bin. Those PPEs were used while treating people in coronavirus quarantine centre. 
 

Doctors in Tamil Nadu are on an indefinite strike demanding pay parity and time-bound promotion to be implemented. The move has left several in-patient and out-patients devoid of immediate treatment. 
 

Telangana government doctors working at various medical college hospitals are reportedly getting a raw deal in terms of salaries. Around 4000 doctors are earning less than nurses, stenotypists and other hospital staffs in these college hospitals. 

The medical facility and infrastructure in the government hospitals and healthcare centres of Andhra Pradesh are facing various serious issues and the doctors will hold talks with the state government to find solutions. 

The doctor's body also demanded uniform pay scales, night shift allowances which currently exists for nursing staff in government hospitals and the formulation of a uniform central residency scheme for the resident doctors of India
