Students of IIT Guwahati and alumni of NIT Silchar and Dibrugarh Universities in Assam have developed a new app called AgSpeak that helps farmers manage their crops.

The violations were reportedly spotted by non-profit watchdog alerted Google about the violations by these apps. 

Google Play store will keep a close check so that online casinos or any unregulated gambling apps do not operate in the upcoming IPL season.

Other apps like Paytm for Business, Paytm mall, Paytm Money, and a few more are still available on Google Play Store
 

The company, however, said that it would work closely with all government authorities concerned on the issue within the framework of local laws.

Mitron app — the popular Indian alternative for TikTok — was removed from Google Play store on Tuesday. The app had over 5 million downloads.

Google announced that it took down hundreds of apps from its official Play Store for violating its ads policy. As the official blog notes, nearly 600 apps have been removed from the Google Play Store.

Android has often received flak for its inability to keep vulnerabilities at bay. Now, a new malware is said to have infected somewhere between 8.5 to 36.5 million devices. Check Point, who discovered the malware, has already alerted Google. In fact, reports claim that Google has started removing the infected apps from the Play Store.​
