The delegation also sought the home minister to issue directions to Bengaluru police to register a FIR against Anil Vij, Haryana minister for his hateful tweet against Disha Ravi, calling for her extermination.

 Twelve farm unions and farmers from Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal participated in the detailed deliberations with the committee members.

Farmer unions on Monday announced a countrywide 'chakka jam' on February 6 when they would block national and state highways for three hours in protest over various issues.

Punjabi actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu, whose name figures in the Delhi Police FIR against the violence during the tractor protest in the national capital on Republic Day, has lashed out at farmer leaders and threatened to expose their 'secrets'.

The tractor rally is being organised by Sanyuta Kisan Morcha, an umbrella of 40 farmer unions. It will start from Ghaziabad and go to Palwal in Haryana and then return on the same route.

Another round of talks between farmer unions and the Centre has failed to break the deadlock over farm laws. While the government remained firm on its stand that it will not repeal the contentious laws, the farmers union reiterated the same demand.

Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Choudhary has expressed hope that a solution will be found out in the talks.

The farmer leaders have, however, so far, not sought any permission for their march on January 26.

The government and farm unions reached some common ground on December 30 to resolve protesting farmers' concerns over rise in power tariff and penalties for stubble burning, but the two sides remained deadlocked over the main contentious issues of the repeal of three farm laws and a legal guarantee for MSP.

However, Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Piyush Goyal on Tuesday met home minister Amit Shah in the national capital ahead of the crucial sixth round of talks with farmers agitating over the three farm laws.

However, they made it clear that their demands for Minimum Support Price (MSP) guarantee and the modalities to repeal the three laws should be part of the agenda.

The unions said they will hold another meeting on Saturday where a formal decision on the Centre's invite for the resumption of stalled talks is likely to be taken.

Thousands of farmers, mainly from Punjab and Haryana, are protesting at Delhi borders for more than three weeks. At least five rounds of formal talks have been held between the Centre and 40 farmer unions to break the deadlock, but the unions are demanding complete rollback of these laws.
