 Voting is under way for the second phase of Kerala local body elections in the five southern districts -- Ernakulam, Kottayam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Wayanad.

In the first phase of polling on Tuesday, voters from five districts of Kerala — Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha and Idukki — will exercise their franchise.

The Congress party has conceded that bad planning and late selection of candidates were among the reasons why the grand old party failed in the Bihar election. But in the process, the party is shying away at seeking accountability from the leadership. In fact, a section of the party chooses to shield the Gandhi family and blame the organisational cadre for the shocking defeat.

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's campaign said on Wednesday it has legal teams standing by if US President Donald Trump follows through with his threat to go to court to try to stop the counting of votes.

The Republican, who according to initial results is in a neck-and-neck race with Democrat Joe Biden, said he would go to court and "we want all voting to stop."
