Kolkata Metro to extend train timings from Dec 7
The Kolkata Metro Railway will increase its daily services from 190 to 204 from Monday to Saturday starting December 7. The timings will also be extended by 90 minutes daily from next week.

Kolkata Metro to increase daily frequency trains from October 19
Kolkata Metro Railway has decided to increase the daily frequency of trains and extend the last train timing to cater to maximum people from today (October 19). The total number of daily trains has been increased from 146 to 152. The metro authorities relaxed its norms for senior citizens, allowing them to board trains without an e-pass during non-peak hours, provided they furnish identity proof at the gates.

West Bengal government introduces e-pass for Kolkata metro to regulate crowd
The Kolkata metro service will start on September 14 for the public. From now on, e-pass system will be introduced in Kolkata metro. According to the state transport department, the 'booking' has to be completed at least 12 hours before receiving the e-pass of metro. Initially, e-passes can be obtained through a specific link. By clicking on that link, the passenger has to enter his name, identity, time of journey and details of the station of boarding and destination.

Bengaluru City Police have now issued e-passes to e-commerce delivery agents to commute during the 21-day COVID-19 lockdown, via an app. Passes for “emergency travel and performing volunteer services (food/ration/distribution)” will also be issued through the app, Hemant Nimbalkar, IGP and ACP (Administration) had said.
