Revising its earlier decision to keep schools and colleges in Mumbai shut till December 31, the city's civic body Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation noted that the second wave of Coronavirus in other countries has forced a rethink on the issue.

“I appeal to the citizens to cooperate with the administration in ensuring safe celebrations. The curfew will be in force from 6 pm of December 31 till 6 am of January 1,” Bengaluru Police Commissioner, Kamal Pant said.
