As authorities in Lalbagh and Cubbon Park have imposed restrictions on photoshoots following honeybee attack and public nuisance, couples and others are now heading to Nandi Hills. Realising the increase in footfall of visitors, the authorities have installed more CCTV and deployed extra security personnel for safety.

Smart light and LED screens greet walkers at Cubbon Park
The 190 plus area of lung space in the heart of the city, the Cubbon Park has got 750 smart lights and 50 new digital display boards. The boards will inform walkers and public about the park, its activities, government programmes and more. The entire project is worth Rs 4 crore and is being taken up by BESCOM.

Karnataka high court issues stay on elevated corridor project: Bengalureans to protest tree felling

Cubbon Park to save 10 lakh litres of water by monsoon 2019
In order to ensure that Cubbon park does not suffer during summer in the coming years and to reduce its dependency on the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewage Board (BWSSB), the authorities from the department of horticulture and NGOs are working towards groundwater recharging. The project is likely to begin in March and end by June. Once completed, the wells can hold over 10 lakh litres of water.
