The BWSSB has proposed to increase water tariff by 12% after the Karnataka government announced a hike in power tariff by 40 paise per unit with an average increase of 5.4 percent.

Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) has approved a hike of 40 paise per unit for all electricity supply companies in the state like BESCOM (Bangalore Electricity Supply Company).
