Atal Tunnel: Foundation plaque bearing Sonia Gandhi's name goes 'missing'
Major political row erupts over the recently inaugurated Atal Tunnel. The opposition Congress in Himachal Pradesh is up in arms and has warned of a statewide agitation after the foundation stone of the tunnel bearing the name of party chief Sonia Gandhi went missing. The foundation stone for the Atal Tunnel was laid by Sonia Gandhi in June 2010, when the UPA government was in power and she was the chairperson of the then ruling alliance.

Kannada Rakshana Vedike activists block Mysuru Road near Satellite Bus Stop, arrested
To make the Karnataka Bandh effective, activists from Kannada Rakshana Vedike staged a protest at Satellite bus stand on Mysuru Road. The protest was led by Kannada Prakash who says they will intensify the agitation against the Central Government as well as the state government if they fail to withdraw the proposed “anti-farmer policies”.
Earlier Narayana Gowda, president of the outfit was arrested from Majestic in the early morning hours after he along with supporters tried to barge inside City Railway Station.

Bharat bandh: KSRTC suffers Rs 7.82 crore loss due to violence in Karnataka
During the two-day Bharat bandh, called by central trade unions (CTUs), Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) lost Rs 7.82 crore due to violent agitation.
