Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced the launch of oxygen concentrator banks for patients in home isolation.

Addressing people via video conferencing, Kejriwal informed that 11 districts of Delhi would be given 200 oxygen concentrators each. These oxygen concentrators will be provided to patients in home isolation on doctors' recommendation.

The chief minister said that any patient could dial up the helpline number 1031 to get added to the list of patients isolated at their homes.

He said that even though the daily cases had dipped in the national capital, his government will not let its guard down.

Kejriwal's remarks came when Delhi reported 6,500 Covid-19 cases in 24 hours. Delhi's positivity rate also declined to 11 per cent.

Kejriwal said, "While we hope that Delhi would not see a surge again, we are preparing from our end. Within 15 days, over 1,000 ICU beds have been set up. Our doctors and engineers have set a precedent."
