Man tries to smuggle heroin by wearing a condom filled with the drug, arrested

Drug smugglers are getting smarter by the day. They keep coming up with innovative ideas to sneak in contraband under the nose of the authorities. However, this one man wasn’t so lucky.

The Chennai International Airport authorities on Wednesday, November 8, detained a smuggler who was carrying 100gm of heroin concealed inside a condom that he was wearing, reported Times of India.

According to official sources, CISF guards at the airport apprehended the man who was travelling to Colombo.

"While checking, they found that the pelvic area was unusually large. When they checked, they found that he had concealed the heroin inside a condom he was wearing. It was held by a rubber band," an official told Times of India.

The accused was working as a storekeeper at an engineering college in Chennai.

The case has been handed over to customs who are likely to file the case.
