In case you missed the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 game between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Barcelona, just know that if you are a fan of the Catalans, then there’s some serious bad news for you. Barcelona were torn apart by a rampant PSG side at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday and the latter were a treat to watch.

Angel Di Maria struck twice; Julian Draxler and an in-form Edinson Cavani scored one each to dismantle Louis Enrique’s Barcelona. Barcelona remained bewildered throughout the game as they could not do much in spite of having the incredible trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez in their side.

A 4-0 defeat in the hands of PSG would mean that if Barcelona would want to stay afloat in the Champions League, then they will have to score four goals or more in the second leg of this fixture at the Camp Nou. Here’s a little bit of trivia for you – no club in the history of the Champions League has ever come back from a 4-0 deficit.

Di Maria, Draxler, Marco Veratti, Adrien Rabiot and Thomas Meunier were the stand out performers for PSG on Tuesday at their backyard. These players made the Barcelona’s midfield non-existent. They also overshadowed Messi, Neymar and Suarez quite handsomely.

Is this the end of Luis Enrique’s era at Barcelona? This question can be stalled for a while as it might be a little too early to say. However, Barcelona needs nothing short of a miracle to turn things around in their favour.
