Bengaluru: Bengaluru FC extended their unbeaten run to nine matches with a 5-0 victory over Jawahar Union in Round 11 of the BDFA Super Division at the Bangalore Football Stadium.

A first half brace from Biswa Darjee (26th minute, 28th minute) along with goals from Parag Shrivas (40th), Myron Mendes (51th) and Lalnuntluanga (73th) helped to take their tally to 28 points.

Despite missing a few chances early on, Bengaluru struck twice just before the half-hour mark. Naorem Singh’s delivery from the left found Biswa in the box to loop his header past the reach of an outstretched Koshy in the 26th minute.

Two minutes later, Biswa found the net once again. Parag’s long throw from the left was flicked on by Ajay Chhetri into the box to find the Blue Colts’ midfielder unmarked to find the net.

Jawahar Union were dealt a huge blow as Joshua Nallapalli was sent off following his second offence in the match. Parag made it 3-0 in the 40th minute.

The Blue Colts continued their domination in the second half also. Myron fired home into the top corner from over 25-yards-out to make the score 4-0.

Bengaluru had two close chances through Parag and substitute Calvin Baretto but both were denied by the framework before their persistence in the final third paid off in the 73rd minute. Lalnuntluanga, on for Ajay in the first half, made a dart down the middle to latch on to Advaith’s pass and finish past Kevin to complete the rout.

On December 27, Bengaluru FC will face ASC.
