Bengaluru: On Sunday morning, a 25-year-old Colombian woman died after falling from the balcony of her second-floor apartment in Murugeshpalya in Bengaluru. The deceased has been identified as Karen Daniela (25), a resident of Wildflower Hall apartment in Rustam Bagh Layout.

The Jeevan Bhima Nagar police has filed a case of unnatural death under section 174 as they are not clear whether the deceased committed suicide or was pushed by someone. Karen shared her apartment with another Colombian woman names Maria.

According to the police reports, Karen and Maria had gone to a house party on Friday near Whitefield. Their friends dropped the two back at their residence on Saturday morning around 3:15am. Karen was supposedly in the balcony while Maria was inside the house.

Maria heard a thud. When she realised that her friend had fallen from the balcony, Maria called her friends who informed the police. “We are waiting for the autopsy report from Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital,” said the police, adding that the embassy of Colombia has been informed of the incident.
