Pragya Thakur, who wasn't given a ticket by the saffron party for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, has declared assets worth Rs 4.4 Lakh, the ADR analysis said. She is the third poorest MP in the outgoing parliament.
 

The Indian Express report claimed that 23 opposition politicians who switched to the BJP since 2014 have faced reduced scrutiny from federal investigative agencies regarding corruption cases. Among them were leaders from various parties, including Congress, NCP, Shiv Sena, TMC, TDP, SP, and YSRCP.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged as the top beneficiary, with major donors including Megha Engineering & Infrastructure and Vedanta Ltd. The Congress also received substantial contributions. Trinamool Congress and regional parties like DMK and YSRCP also featured prominently among recipients.

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal after a search at his residence and interrogation related to a money laundering investigation linked to the now-scrapped excise policy case. The arrest followed the Delhi High Court's refusal to grant him interim protection in the probe.

The YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) chief YS Sharmila said she will not contest the November 30 Assembly polls in Telangana and has decided to support the Congress. Addressing a press briefing here, the YSRTP chief said she has decided to extend her support to the Congress to prevent a split of votes in the polls that might benefit Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
 

The Angallu 307 case involves allegations of Naidu and several other TDP leaders inciting violence against local leaders of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in August.

During the proceedings, the TDP leader himself addressed the judge, denouncing his arrest as illegal and an act of political vendetta orchestrated by the ruling YSR Congress Party government.

A case was registered against her under section 504 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace] and section 3(1)r of the SC ST POA Act.
