Tamannaah Bhatia's name has come up in the illicit IPL match streaming case and according to sources, the Maharashtra Cyber Cell has called the actress to question the matter. 

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar is seeking the cancellation of an FIR accusing him of voter coercion and inducement during an election campaign. Allegations arose from promises made to residents in exchange for votes. Shivakumar asserts his comments addressed legitimate concerns and were not coercive. He challenges the FIR's validity.

Lokesh Sharma, former officer on special duty (OSD) of Ashok Gehlot, levelled several accusations against the former Rajasthan Chief Minister. Sharma, who was questioned in the illegal phone tapping case, alleged that Gehlot had given him the audio clips of cabinet ministers, and he was asked to release them to the media.

The Mananthavady police arrested the accused in connection with the murder of an elderly couple at Panamaram in Wayanad district last September. Kesavan, a retired school teacher, and his wife Padmavathy were murdered by the accused on July 10, 2021.

Nimisha Priya, a Malayali nurse, was sentenced to death in Yemen over murder charges in 2017. She was convicted of murdering Yemeni national Talal Abdo Mahdi. Yemen's Supreme Court earlier rejected Nimisha Priya's appeal plea against the death sentence. 

Deepfake Video Case: In the latest development in the deepfake video case of actor Ranveer Singh, Mumbai's cyber cell has registered an FIR against a X (formerly Twitter) handle @sujataindia1st. The 'deepfake’ video shows Ranveer is appealing to vote for Congress.

In Gadag City, Karnataka, a shocking murder unfolded in Dasara Gully, involving prominent council member Prakash Bakale's family and guests. Investigation revealed Bakale's elder son, Vinayak, orchestrated the crime, allegedly motivated by familial disputes. The hired assassins missed their targets, killing three guests instead. Police swiftly apprehended the suspects for interrogation.

Around 8 people were dead and several injured in an explosion at Jehobah's witnessess prayer at Kalamassery on October 29, 2023. The convention center was sealed and the inspection conducted under the leadership of senior police officers identified this blast as a planned explosion.

A Delhi court on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and BRS leader K Kavitha in a money laundering case linked to an alleged excise scam until May 7.
