Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has declared a resolute stance against criminal acts such as embryo detection and feticide. Expressing concern over a reported case in the state, he emphasised the need for strict action against wrongdoers, signalling an upcoming meeting to discuss and decide on appropriate measures. 

The Bengaluru Kambala, debuting in the city, drew over eight lakh attendees in two days, sparking plans for an annual event. Spectators flooded the palace grounds, drawn by carpet races and engaging coastal commentators. The event showcased coastal cuisine and culminated in Rishabh Shetty's buffalo-winning senior category in 'Kantara,' navigating 6.5 feet of water.

In a unique display of folk sports, the city's palace grounds witnessed the first-ever Kambala event, shedding light on the fascinating world of kambala, buffaloes, and the spirited competition that follows. Owners invest substantial sums, often in the millions, to breed and nurture the buffalloes, treating them with the care and attention usually reserved for children. These angles, or racing buffalloes, play a vital role not only in the cultural prestige of their towns and families but are also integral to agricultural practices.

A devastating road accident between a borewell lorry and a car has left two individuals dead and three others seriously injured. Various route suggestions were provided for smoother travel, while certain areas, including Palace Road and others, were designated as restricted parking zones to ensure efficient traffic management and a hassle-free commute for attendees.

Bengaluru anticipates major traffic on Bellary Road from November 24-26 due to the Tulu Koota Conference (5 lakh attendees) and the Kambala event (15 lakh attendees). The transportation of 200 pairs of Oxen for Kambala is expected to compound congestion in nearby areas, prompting authorities to advise avoiding these routes.

Bengaluru's inaugural Kambala at the Palace Grounds on November 25th promises a vibrant celebration of coastal culture with buffalo races, dances, exhibitions, and film screenings. Anticipating 2-3 lakh attendees, the event will showcase Kambala's 700-year history with a meticulously prepared track, esteemed guests like CM Siddaramaiah, and prizes totaling Rs. 1 lakh and gold.

Controversy looms over the Bengaluru Kambala event as MP Brij Bhushan Singh's invite sparks outrage due to sexual harassment allegations. Accused by wrestlers, Singh faces FIRs and protests, yet received an invite. Social media erupted in criticism, questioning ethics and support for accused individuals. Bangalore Kambala Committee announces the inaugural Bengaluru Kambala, aiming to unite the coastal community. Scheduled at palace grounds, it involves over 50 organizations, with 150 buffaloes registered. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah contributes Rs 1 crore, and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai's presence is anticipated, adding to the event's prominence.

Preparations for the Bengaluru Kambala festival are in full swing as the city gets ready to introduce a record-breaking 'Kambala Kare' track. Initiated by DCM DK Shivakumar, this 151-meter track will be the longest of its kind, surpassing the previous 149-meter record. The event, marking the 50th anniversary of Bangalore Tulukuota, is scheduled for November 25-26 and is expected to draw prominent personalities.

Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has revealed that the government will provide a substantial subsidy for the upcoming Kambala race in Bengaluru, scheduled for the following month. Speaking at the 'Bengaluru Kambala - Our Kambala Call' event at the city's palace ground, Shivakumar expressed a commitment to support the cultural and historical significance of this event. He stated, "We are proud of our country's rich history and cultural heritage, and we are dedicated to the promotion of domestic and historical Kambala. We will allocate a 1 crore subsidy for 20 Kambala, each receiving 5 lakh rupees. Further discussions will be held with the Chief Minister and the Kannada Culture Department to finalize these arrangements."

Kambala, a traditional buffalo racing sport from coastal Karnataka, will debut in Bengaluru on November 25-26 as part of Tulukuota's 50th-anniversary celebrations. The event at Palace Grounds will feature 125 pairs of buffalo owners and jockeys and prominent guests like Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, actor Rajinikanth, and Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai.
 

The anticipated prequel to last year's smash Kantara starts from November 2023. A source told us that the creators want to conclude filming by the first quarter of next year for a late 2024 theatrical release.
