BJP leader BS Yediyurappa, who is also a former Chief Minister of Karnataka, ruled out the possibility of his son BY Vijayendra contesting from the Varuna constituency and said that he will only contest from Shikaripura.

Varuna in Mysuru district has become among the key seats to watch out for as Siddaramaiah, the Congress legislature party leader and former Chief Minister, is set to enter the fray in this segment, currently represented his son Yathindra.

BJP has released its fourth list of candidates ahead of Assembly Elections on May 12. Out of 224 constituencies, BJP has still not named any candidates for four constituencies including Varuna.

Former CM B S Yeddyurappa’s son B Y Vijayendra has started preparing the ground to contest from Varuna constituency even before the list is out.
