Karnataka DyCM DK Shivakumar pens down a special article on the occasion of Karnataka Rajyotsava 2023. He hopes that Karnataka will become a leading state in all fields and also wishes the state to become a modular state in India. He says that Karnataka has become stronger today in terms of development of various fields.

The Karnataka Rajyotsava Awards for 2023 will honor 68 individuals and 10 institutions for their exceptional contributions. Recipients include Huchchamma, who donated land for a school in Koppal, and Mangalamukhi from Bidar. The awards acknowledge diverse talents, including ISRO's S. Somnath. The honorees will receive a 25-gram gold medal and a cash prize of Rs. 5 lakhs at an upcoming ceremony.
 

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah marked the state's 50th-year celebration, emphasizing the significance of the Kannada language and inclusivity. He unveiled a commemorative emblem and encouraged the use of Matra Kannada while welcoming outsiders. Siddaramaiah urged the use of Kannada in official communications and noted the importance of not forgetting one's own language.

The state government held a big ceremony in Bengaluru on Tuesday (Nov 01) to honour late cinema superstar Puneeth Rajkumar on the occasion of the 67th Karnataka Rajyotsava.

Yuvaraj, Raghavendra Rajkumar's son, personally visited RRR actor Jr NTR at his house in Hyderabad. The state government has invited Junior NTR to attend the ceremony, which will be held on the steps of Vidhana Soudha at 4 PM.

Speaking on the occasion of Karnataka Rajyotsava on Sunday, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said that the state would observe the period from November 1 to October 31 as Kannada Kayaka Varsha (Kannada Livelihood Year). The Karnataka government will announce a framework for the promotion of Kannada language shortly.

Kalyan Karnataka Horata Samiti workers were detained in Kalaburagi on Friday for protesting in support of a separate state for Hyderabad-Karnataka region. This coincides with Kannada Rajyotsava Day that marks the formation of Karnataka.
