Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday (Feb 24) slammed the BJP-led central government alleging that the latter is taking a hostile approach against the Dalits.

Udit Raj anticipated the presence of casteists and anti-reservationists at the Ram temple, signaling the beginning of a new era for Dalits and backward classes.

Close on the heels of the Congress government celebrating 100 days of its rule, the BJP on Tuesday lambasted the state government for its 'abject failure' and 'broken promises' on matters related to governance.
 

BJP's IT cell head Amit Malviya said a sorry state of affairs prevails in Congress where president Mallikarjun Kharge sees himself more as a "postman". "Want to watch circus? Watch the Congress select their CM in Karnataka," he said on Twitter.

Reacting to Congress president DK Shivakumar who has promised to restore the Muslim reservation if his party comes to power, Shah sought to know whose quota the party will scrap if it manages to form the government in Karnataka.

BJP's Atmaram Parmar won the byelection in the constituency. Sociologist Gaurang Jani claimed Dalits in Gujarat are a confused community as far as political affiliation is concerned. They are numerically not as sizable as many other communities and divided further in three sub-castes - Vankar, Rohit and Valimki.

Soren also added that the country's inflation would greatly impact the Adivasis, Dalits and backward classes. 

Nearly 40 ministers are expected to take an oath, and around 25-30 new faces will be introduced in the new Yogi-led cabinet. 

BJP general secretary Tarun Chug said they had also included doctors, lawyers, sportspersons, farmers, youth, women, and former IAS officers in the first list.

Addressing the media, Chandrashekhar Azad went on to say that he tried for a month and three days, but the coalition could not be formed.

In his resignation letter, Maurya stated that despite ideological differences, he worked hard in Yogi Adityanath's cabinet. Furthermore, he stated that he has chosen to quit owing to the severe mistreatment of Dalits, OBCs, farmers, the jobless, and small business owners.
