Kiccha Sudeep, a prominent Sandalwood actor, expressed his solidarity with Karnataka's Cauvery River water protection protests on social media. He highlighted the severity of the water crisis due to a lack of monsoon rains and called for expedited actions. However, some netizens called for more active participation in the protests.

Another BJP star campaigner is Kannada movie star Kichcha Sudeep. The actor kick started campaigning for BJP from Molakalmuru Assembly constituency in Chitradurga district. Speaking to reporters, the actor said that he is very happy about it.

Earlier, the actor was set to visit the party's state headquarters at 1:30 pm. Other than Sudeep, several other prominent actors were also approached to be star campaigners for the elections.

Manju who is also the actor's close aide said the letter contained derogatory language against Sudeep. The threat letter case has now been transferred to Central Crime Branch (CCB) following an order from the Bangalore city commissioner Pratap Reddy.

According to sources, Sudeep will also be among the star campaigners for the party in the state.

While Arjun Kapoor and John Abraham-starrer 'Ek Villain Returns' has not yet managed to cross the Rs 40 crore mark, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram's 'Bimbisara' has beaten every other film at the box office on Monday, including Dulquer Salman, Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Mandanna's 'Sita Ramam'.

Per the Sunday report, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram-starrer ‘Bimbisara’ was leading the box office race. The film’s Sunday collection was more than Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Sita Ramam’, Kiccha Sudeep’s ‘Vikrant Rona’ and Mohit Suri’s multi-starrer film ‘El Villain Returns’.

This Friday at the box office was all about films from down South. Last week it was only Kiccha Sudeep’s ‘Vikrant Rona’ that was giving a tough time to ‘Ek Villain Returns’. However, now, it is ‘Sita Ramam’ and ‘Bimbisara’ that have upped the competition at the ticket window.

The last week at the box office has not been great for the movies. Mohit Suri’s ‘Ek Villain Returns’, starring actors John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria, was competing against Kiccha Sudeep and Jacqueline Fernandez’s Vikrant Rona.
