During her visit, the two parties are expected to sign an agreement on interim Kushiyara River water sharing. The Bangladeshi leader is also scheduled to pay a visit to the Dargah of Sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer, Rajasthan. PM Hasina's visit to India is her first since the two countries celebrated their 50th anniversary of bilateral relations in 2021.

Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar and Karnataka CM Sharad Pawar held a meeting yesterday on the water sharing from Mahadayi and others that originate in the Maharashtra-Karnataka border. Both the leaders pitched for mutual understanding on the issue.
 

The meeting between CM BS Yediyurappa and Maharashtra Minister Jayanth Patil on data sharing on water release from reservoirs to managing floods and droughts especially in parts of Karnataka ended on a good note as both the states have agreed on sharing real-time data on rainfall and water release from reservoirs both in Krishna and Bhima basin.

In a major effort to address water-sharing disputes between Kerala and Tamil Nadu, the chief ministers of the two states held discussions in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday (September 25).
