K Kavitha, an MLC in Telangana and daughter of BRS leader K Chandrasekhar Rao, had been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case linked to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam on March 15.

According to the CBI's statements presented before the court, Kavitha allegedly warned Reddy that she would harm his business if he didn't pay money for the AAP's alleged kickbacks.

K Kavitha, daughter of former Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, has been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the Delhi Liquor excise policy scam. She is accused of being involved in the "South Group," which allegedly paid kickbacks to the ruling AAP in Delhi in exchange for liquor licenses.

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K. Kavitha's bail plea was denied by a Delhi court, prompting her to express concerns over privacy and reiterate cooperation with investigating agencies in a letter to the Rouse Avenue court.

BRS leader K Kavitha has been remanded to judicial custody until April 23 in the alleged Delhi Excise Policy Scam. Kavitha's appeal for interim bail, citing her son's exams, awaits a decision from Special Judge Kaveri Baweja on Monday. Kavitha, daughter of former Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao, faces accusations of involvement in a Rs 100 crore bribery scheme with the Aam Aadmi Party.

As per the Enforcement Directorate (ED), K Kavitha, a leader of the BRS party, allegedly participated as a member of the 'South Group' involved in paying kickbacks totaling Rs. 100 crore to AAP leaders.

The BRS leader, who is the daughter of former Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, stands accused of playing a significant role in the "South Group," allegedly implicated in providing kickbacks worth Rs 100 crore to the ruling AAP in Delhi.

A Delhi court on Monday extended Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's judicial custody until April 15 in the money laundering case related to the excise policy.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) pressed for an extension of Kavitha's custody to facilitate joint questioning with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Kavitha, aged 46, was apprehended by the central probe agency on March 15.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED), under the leadership of Additional Director Kapil Raj and supported by a team of senior officers, has been actively investigating the Delhi liquor scam since 2022. This probe has implicated key figures such as Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, K Kavitha and now Arvind Kejriwal.

K Kavitha, the daughter of former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR), found herself embroiled in the alleged liquor policy scandal following her arrest by the Enforcement Directorate last Friday.

Chandrashekhar purportedly recollected statements made during his past media interactions, predicting the downfall of BRS in Telangana post-2023 assembly elections and Kavitha's impending arrest.

The situation was escalated by her failure to adhere to multiple summonses issued by the ED earlier this year, including one for questioning on January 16, which she refrained from attending, citing a purported protection stemming from a Supreme Court ruling.
