The planned blockade, spearheaded by Pro-Kannada activist Vatal Nagaraj, is a protest against the unresolved water-sharing issues between the two states.

Creative Garments company at Peenya in Bengaluru locked out 350 permanent workers and asked them to quit without any notice. They staged a protest and now the company has assured to look into their demands
